Why We Started VetReceptionists

As with most things in life, pet ownership comes with plenty of good times, but also less-good times. As pet owners ourselves, we know this all too well. When we began taking calls for veterinary clients at our parent company Calls on Call– a company with over 10 years of administrative expertise and glowing reviews and ratings– we quickly came to find that even the best professionals in the field need a little help during the not so great times. When a pet’s health is on the line, veterinary staff need their hands free to administer life-saving care, not tied up with administrative work.

When you’re inundated with administrative work, scheduling, and questions, it’s all too easy for customer service to fall to the wayside. Once that happens, you’ll inevitably have unhappy clients sending additional inquiries, which quickly spirals into a cycle not easily broken. We took a step back, and examined the veterinary calls we were taking. While they are some of our favorite calls, these wonderful practices were facing some major challenges: staffing shortages, email inboxes with days-old inquiries, and a list of missed calls that never seemed to get any shorter. It’s not that the staff didn’t want to excel, they just needed help.

We love pets, we love growing businesses, and we love to help.

The next step seemed obvious: A division of Calls on Call dedicated solely to pet care. We’re passionate about what we do, and we’re passionate about what you do. Our goal is to help you do more of it. Even if you’re lucky enough to have a few all-star receptionists on hand, in this fast-paced, ever-growing industry, even the best in the business will need additional help eventually. Our passion for pet care, years of experience, and genuine desire to improve not just the business day of our clients, but the customer service experience of their clients, makes VetReceptionists.com the perfect companion to any veterinary office feeling overwhelmed by the day-to-day.

We truly love what we do, and would eagerly welcome the chance to show you how much easier life can be with a team of experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly assistants at your side. If you’ve been feeling drained, puzzled as to where your time has gone at the end of each work day- we can help you find it again.
